I really enjoy this little mini! I got it for its lite weight, small size and portability. It quickly surfs the net, watches videos and movies with out a hitch. It also does a great j0b for my blogging. Has built in Wireless and a webcam. For as small as it is, it's very quick. It has plenty of hard drive space, 160GB. Vga Out to hook up to an external monitor. I plan to pick up an external DVD-RW. This thing stays very cool to the touch. It does what I need it too, not only surfing, but runs Office 2007 and OpenOffice smoothly. I got the system for $329 with no tax. I must say that I am very pleased with this mini. It takes some time getting used to typing on such a small computer, but you will learn quickly I love the widescreen for movies and such. I wish it had an S-Video out so I could hook it up to my TV, but that's not too important. I have other laptops that can do that. When Solid State Drives come down in price, I plan to replace the standard hard drive with one, making it even faster. I would recommend this Mini as a secondary Laptop or if you have a desktop. I give it 4 out 5 stars. All and all for the price. it's an excellent Mini. aif you have any comments or questions pleae feel free to post!

  1. haha, nice review. I also own the HP Mini.

I'm pretty happy with it, except for the battery life. After 2 hours i have to charge again. I'm looking for a battery then the 3cells I have now.

  2. I have the up on the same model but when I looked it up on the HP website, it says that max RAM is 1GB. Were you able to increase the RAM t0 2GB?

    Thanks!

  3. I only have 1 GIG of RAM, and after looking at the HP site, I see that it's max size is 1 gig. I believe I got the information from Best Buy (shouldn't have done that.) Best Buy's specs on the Mini have changed, it no longer says its expandable to 2GBs. Which is a disappointment to me. Sorry for the misinformation, I was just going by Best Buy's website. Thank you for pointing that out.
