Michael Vick signs with the Eagles

After being reinstated to the NFL by football's commissioner Roger Goodell, Michael Vick has signed with the Philadelphia Eagles. The former Atlanta Falcon's quarterback reported to Philadelphia on Friday August 14th, 2009. Vick was suspended in August 2007 after pleading guilty to a federal charge of bankrolling a dog fighting ring that he owned in Virginia.

However, Ed Sayres, president and CEO of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, said in a statement that "Commissioner Roger Goodell and the Philadelphia Eagles have granted Michael Vick a second chance, and the ASPCA expects Mr. Vick to express remorse for his actions, as well as display more compassion and sound judgment this time around than he did during his previous tenure with the NFL."

  1. I predicted Vick would be back. People said by the time he gets out of jail he will be too old to play. Well, he looks physically fit to me.

  2. Yeah, I knew he would be back too. He has too much talent not to play.. I am just wondering how the fans will accept him
