02-16-2010: A disturbing 911 call comes into Brunswick, Georgia where a woman of 2 small children ages 2 and 4 drowns her 4 year old and attempts to drown her 2 year old, son. Police say 21-year-old Julia Murray called 911 to report that she had drown her 2 young children. Murray dialed 911 Tuesday morning and told the operator she had just shot herself. Police Chief Matt Doering says the officers that responded to the Brunswick found Murray lying close close to the revolver used in the shooting and found the still-wet bodies of her son and daughter in their bedroom. Police Chief Capt. Marissa Tindale told the Florida Times-Union stated the girl, Ansil and the boy Creigton, were both found close to each other in bed. Mother and daughter were pronounced dead and the hospital. The young boy was in stable condition and is expected to recover.
Why on earth would a mother do such a thing is above me. Did she have a mental breakdown? In the 911 tape she sounded very calm. This is such a tragedy! Unfortunately we may never know what may have caused the woman to go off the deep end and commit such an awful homicide/suicide. I will send you a link to the 911 call. It is very disturbing.
