Windows 7 Starter Edition Comes With Limits


Steve Ballmer, Microsoft's CEO has confirmed that the starter edition of Windows 7 will be limited. The started edition is expected to end up on netbooks that normally only have small screens and low-powered processors.
At Microsoft's annual financial analyst day, Balmer described the limits computer makers must accept if they want Starter installed on their machines. Starter has fewer features than the other Windows 7 editions. Starter will not be sold directly to consumers or businesses, it will be available only to OEMs, such as Acer, ASUS, Dell, Hewlett-Packard and Toshiba. Read More Here.

Micro$oft up to dirty tricks with IE8


It seems that an update to Internet Explorer is forcing IE to become the default browser, without asking you.. Read the story on Slashdot. I haven't used IE in years and refuse to.
