Please Help Save My Friend's Dog's Life!!

A Message From Matt:
Naleya

She has one of the most wonderful personalities we’ve ever seen in a dog. She is very funny and silly, but also very protective and loving at the same time. We have a number of friends who aren’t ‘dog people’ who swear up and down they love her and have never met another dog like her. Anytime we take her to the vet or for chemo the staff always love seeing her. Everyone falls in love with her very shortly after meeting her. At 100lbs, she is a gentle giant.

We bring her over to my grandparents house from time to time and she’ll sit with our 1 year old niece and 2 year old nephew contently. She loves kids and she is very protective and loyal. She also does this really funny and cute thing for attention where she will walk/run in-between your legs and stand there as you are walking. At her size, you can imagine how funny that is.

Another funny/interesting thing she does is how she will follow conversations as they are happening. She’ll watch between person to person as people talk as if she’s trying to follow along. It’s really cool to watch. She does this really cute thing with her toys where she grabs them and throws them straight up in the air over her head.

She also knows where her treats are kept. When she wants one she will get your attention, then get you to follow her to the hall closet where she knows her treats are kept, and sit down in front of the door just waiting for her treat. We’ve both had dogs all of our lives and love them. We feel she is very special and we want her to be with us for a long time to come.

At Least 72 Dead As Storms Sweep Through The South

Note from me: Living in Southeast Tennessee, I was directly affected by some serious storms. They came in waves. The first storm came around 9 AM EST, another wave came around 3 PM EST, once again a wave came in around 6PM EST and a final wave hit around 8PM EST. Power has been off for most of the day, coming back on around 5 PM EST only to go back off around 8 PM EST and returning around 1:30 AM EST. At my house, I consider myself VERY LUCKY only receiving torrential rains, wind exceeding 75 MPH and dime sized hail. I have no visible damage to my house, but the people in surrounding towns weren't so lucky. There were reports of many tornadoes, and hail up to the size of a baseball. In my 37 years living in Southeast Tennessee, I have never witnessed storms of this magnitude in my area. Below are a few pictures of damage in my area.

 Article:

A wave of tornado-spawning storms strafed the South on Wednesday, splintering buildings across hard-hit Alabama and killing 72 people in four states.

At least 58 people died in Alabama alone, including 15 or more when a massive tornado devastated Tuscaloosa. The city's mayor said sections of the city that's home to the University of Alabama have been destroyed and the city's infrastructure is devastated.

Eleven deaths were reported in Mississippi, two in Georgia and one in Tennessee.

News footage showed paramedics lifting a child out of a flattened Tuscaloosa home, with many neighboring buildings in the city of more than 83,000 also reduced to rubble. A hospital there said its emergency room had admitted at least 100 people.

"What we faced today was massive damage on a scale we have not seen in Tuscaloosa in quite some time," Mayor Walter Maddox told reporters, adding that he expected his city's death toll to rise.

Chattanooga, Tennessee: Facebook helps solve a home invasion

ALTON PARK (WRCB) - Investigators say Facebook helped lead to the arrest of a pair of home invaders.
A group kicked in the door at a home on Water Street in the early morning hours of October 29th.
Armed with guns the suspects demanded money, then swiped two big screen TV's and a laptop computer.
Police say the suspects were acquainted with the victim's son.  Investigators used Facebook to identify the suspects and stage a photo line-up.
Neighbors say it hit a little too close to home. .
Rosemary Porter says, "I hate that it happened, but you know non of us are exempt from this, it's happening everywhere."
Police have arrested 18 year old Dedrick Shelton, a juvenile, and they're looking for 18 year old Charles Jackson.  If you know where he is, call Crime Stoppers at 698-3333.

posted November 9, 2010

A 26-year-old Chattanooga man has been charged with statutory rape after police were called to a motel in East Ridge.

East Ridge Police said they were called at approximately 5:45 a.m. on Sunday and responded to the Crown Inn at 6650 Ringgold Road "in reference to possible statutory rape."

Police found a 17-year-old female in the room with Gooch, of 2207 E. 26th St., Apt. 4.

Police said, "Evidence found at the scene along with statements made by the individuals involved resulted in the arrest of Mr. Gooch."

He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail and charged with statutory rape.

He was scheduled to be in East Ridge Municipal Court today at 5 p.m.

I'm so sick and tired of these scumbags...

Marijana plants found in Sequatchie County

A snitch gave up the location of around 200 marijuana plants to The Sequatchie County Sheriff's Office. The weed was found on Cagle Mountain where the marijuana murderers cut down the plants and carted it off. (I wonder where?) The estimated value of the precious plants is $90,000. Sheriff Ronnie Hitchcock said there are no suspects in the case and finding any suspects is highly unlikely.

Brushy Mountian Prision

One of Tennessee's most feared state prisons will be shutting down on June 11. It is the state's oldest operating prison. Brushy mountain opened in 1896 and is a maximum security prison. I've never had to go there (thankfully) but I have heard some real war stories that has happened there.

“The Brushy Mountain prison represents a remarkable chapter in the history of the TDOC,” said Commissioner George M. Little. “While the time has come to say goodbye to this grand institution, we are grateful to the citizens of Petros, Morgan County and the surrounding area for their support. "We commend the Brushy staff for their hard work and dedication and we look forward to many more accomplishments as we blend the old with the new at the Morgan County Correctional Complex.”

Bradley County Sherrif's Office Arrests Suspect For Child Molestation

Bradley County, Tennessee sheriff's office has arrested Glen D. Keller on Thursday. An investigation over the last couple of weeks has led to the arrest of the said man into sexual assaults reported by 3 girls, ages 11, 12 and 16. The children told the investigators the assaults occurred from 2005 until December 2008 while they were riding horses he owns. Recently one of the victims come forward to report the activity, and under further investigation the other victims were identified.

People like this (if proven guilty) should be castrated.

I report these findings in hopes of educating the public on these sicko child molesters.

It's hard for me to believe that these sickos prey on the young and naive. Though most spend a few years in jail, get out and do it again. Sick.

House Bill 2099, Saggy Pants Bill

I like to wear loose fitting pants, but I do not show my underwear. Some people wear extremely saggy pants, often to the extremes that the person has difficulty walking. I think that is just stupid. Everyone has their own style of wearing clothes. My great state of Tennessee has approved House Bill 2099, or the "Saggy Pants Bill." This law would impose fines up to $1,000 to the violator and dedicate the money to school supplies. That's good for our schools, they really need it, but I don't think that's a proper route of obtaining the money. I really don't want to see men's underwear, but Tennessee has larger, REAL troubles they should be tackling. Such a waste of time, effort, money and productivity.
